4–5 minutes

I have made multiple mistakes and I don’t want to make them anymore.

I know mistakes happen, but to me… these mistakes aren’t who I want to be at all.

I don’t want to live this way anymore, and I am tired of being the person I am right now.

And it’s my responsibility to change myself, so here I am…

Desperate to change and thankfully motivated to make different decisions.

I’ll go one by one because I’m processing each one still…

1. I want to appreciate what I have and radically accept what I cannot change.

My plan:

Remember that my parents and siblings are one in a zillion…

And start asking myself: “What can I do to express my care for them?”

I could write them letters…

I could cook them meals…

I could call more often…

I don’t want to take them for granted like I have and I also want to stop comparing other people to them because it only makes me miserable.

ALSO: Focus on myself/my reactions/my behavior.

If I want to be like my parents, what traits of theirs could I incorporate in my life?

… and if I were a parent (even though I’m not), what kind of parent do I want to be?

2. I want to quit smoking cigarettes.

It’s ultimately going to affect my health and has probably begun to.

My plan:

Since I have been smoking about 7 each day, I’m going to smoke 7 tomorrow.

Then 6 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Then 5 on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Then 4 on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Then 3 on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Then 2 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Then 1 on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Then 0 on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026.

Issues: What will I do to cope with not being able to smoke?

That’s something I’m gonna have to dive deeper into…

3. I want to eat healthier than I do now.

This is a tough one because I’m not used to making healthy meal choices.

But it’s not impossible.

My plan:

  • Eat a bowl of Cheerios for breakfast with 1% low-fat milk.
  • Incorporate fruits and vegetables.
  • DRINK PLENTY OF WATER:
    • That means drinking at least 4 water bottles/day.
      • I can use my Samsung Health to track how much I’ve had to drink
  • Count my calories
    • Goal: 1,800 calories/day

The hardest part is going to be figuring out what I want to eat for lunch and dinner… but if I stick to the 1,800 calories/day and TRY to make healthier choices than I normally would, that will be an improvement.

4. I want to wake up at 8 A.M. and be in bed by 10 P.M.

This one is hard because my sleep schedule is wack.

Right now I’m sleeping at 4-7 A.M. and waking up at 3 P.M. or later…

But I know change is possible.

My plan:

Sleep as soon as I’m sleepy tonight (it’s already 12:10 A.M. as I write this) and wake up at 8 A.M. no matter how sleepy I am.

Then no naps will be allowed tomorrow and hopefully, my goal is to be tired enough to sleep by 10 P.M.

That also means getting ready to go to sleep at around 9:30 P.M. so that I can do my skin care routine, remove my contact lenses, and listen to ASMR before bed.

5. I want to take my medicine on time every day.

The meds I’m on work best when taken at the same times each day.

Since I have been sleeping at a weird time, it doesn’t typically happen (me taking the meds at the same time).

My plan:

To wake up tomorrow at 8 A.M. and take my medicine.

Then at 1 P.M. take my other medicine.

And at 5 P.M. to take my medicine as well.

I have set a reminder on my phone and so I’m hoping that helps to keep me in line.

6. I want to wear outfits I like and put on makeup at least 3/7 days of the week.

Why? Tbh, I normally am in my pajamas ALL day and put no makeup on unless I have somewhere to go or something to do.

But I want to change that because I feel like it would be uplifting.

My plan:

As soon as I get all the clothes I purchased online, I will pick outfits to wear 3/7 days of the week.

At 8 A.M. after taking my medicine, doing my skin care routine, putting on my contact lenses, and showering, I will change into my outfit and put on makeup.

Then afterwards I can go on with my day and I like this idea because I will be feeling extra cute.

SO- these are my goals and my plans to renovate myself.

I wrote them down here not just to share but as my own reminder to stay focused.

Although I have a long way to go, it was really comforting to jot it all down and even more comforting to jot it down in this blog- which I really care about.

Thank you for reading and if you have any tips/recommendations, I’d love to hear them!
