And the worst thing I did in June…
SO- I’ll start with the worst thing I did in June because I did an actually mean thing and I want to own up to that mistake.
In June (2025), I was friends with an amazing friend.
Let’s call her Zoe for now since I’m keeping things private.
Zoe was always very sweet to me, kind, and caring.
But I felt uncomfortable around her because she seemed to not be such a big fan of my boyfriend (who is now my fiancé).
RATHER than expressing my discomfort, I stopped talking to her all together and when she asked me what she had done wrong, I told her I just didn’t want to be friends anymore.
I didn’t know how to be a responsible and healthy adult in that situation.
And I realized my mistake and contacted her on Sunday night to say I was sorry and that I would like to be friends again.
She (with her huge heart of hers) forgave me and said not to feel guilty and this week she drove an hour to see me where I live now and we had a BLAST!
Earlier in the friendship we would celebrate with cake so SHE BOUGHT US A CAKE to celebrate being in each other’s lives again!!!
It was such a sweet thing to do and Zoe and I chatted, ate cheeseburgers, watched Breaking Bad, ate ice cream, started to watch The Office but then we ended up listening to music most of the night.
I offered her a drink even though I can’t have any and for a moment it really felt like we were at a club lol!
I bought these really cool LED lights, so when the music played, the colors would change along with the music and the beat… and it was so magical.
I definitely will not be losing or abandoning my friend Zoe ever again.
I just had to share because it was such a beautiful day and I never want to forget it.
