1–2 minutes

I’m giving it my all but…

Living in the United States of America is scary right now…

And it’s getting scarier by the minute.

Lately, things have been a little (okay, way more than a little) tougher to handle.

Cuts are being made to government assistance programs and there is a lot of hatred towards immigrants, specifically the Hispanic/Latino community.

It’s gotten so bad that it feels like we’re still in the pandemic because people are afraid to leave their homes.

People continue to protest for the rights of everyone but there is more hatred than compassion at this moment where I live.

Aside from how intense things have been in the United States of America, my future mother-in-law has fallen ill and is in the hospital at this moment.

We have been visiting her every day but it’s especially hard for my fiancé.

He’s already stressed as it is with his own disabilities, that adding this extra layer of stress has been very difficult.

I am thankful to be where I am at this moment because I am safe and I feel that my support is much needed by the people I care about but…

I certainly do wish that I could do way more.
