What my official diagnosis means to me

SO I had my appointment today and the report has been completed! YASSSSSSS!!!!

could tell you exactly what I was diagnosed with (if I wanted to) but I’m just easing up to telling my immediate family and friends so maybe I’ll bring it up another time. For now, I’m just grateful to know what they are and why.

If you or anyone in your life has experienced symptoms that overlap with other disorders or if you are wondering what you have and why, I would highly (if possible) recommend getting psychological and neuropsych testing done. But I know that is unfortunately not a possibility for everyone. I also waited to see if my insurance would cover it and until now it’s been possible. So I waited quite some time too. But I am partly glad I did it now and not before because I had a lot of data to give!

It was emotional and uncomfortable to read everything in the report but now I feel like I can finally breathe! It feels good, y’all! I’m moving forward with a pep in my step!
